At Neurodiverse Communities we specialize in training, consultation, and psychotherapy aimed at celebrating the diversity of human experiences. We recognize neurodiversity as an intrinsic part of humanity, influenced by genetics, environment, relationships, and life events.
Our services cater to the social, emotional, and psychological well-being of both neurotypical and neurodivergent individuals, including those with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) and their communities.
Central to our approach is ensuring community providers and systems possess cultural competence and inclusivity in working with people with IDD and neurodiversity. Through comprehensive training and consultation, we empower professionals to adapt their care to reflect the unique needs of neurodivergent people. We prioritize resilience-building among providers and caregivers, understanding its importance in sustaining quality care and preventing professional burnout.
In therapy, we address a range of concerns including anxiety, depression, trauma, family dynamics, emotion regulation, communication and interpersonal skills, caregiver support, grief and life transitions. We also provide care coordination and case management, as needed.
Our goal is to foster an inclusive and empathetic community which provides evidence-based and holistic support across the spectrum of human experiences.
