Brian is a Licensed Professional Counselor and NADD-CC Certified Clinician with nearly 30 years of experience supporting the mental health of neurodiverse individuals, families, and professional teams.
He began his career in day treatment, working with youth with complex needs—an experience that gave him both clinical expertise and firsthand insight into the vicarious trauma and burnout faced by caregivers and providers. That lived experience continues to shape his commitment to building sustainable systems of care.

He serves on the IDD Expert Panel for the National Child Traumatic Stress Network (NCTSN) and the Board of Directors for NADD. In 2020, he received NADD’s Earl L. Loschen Award for Clinical Practice for his leadership in trauma-informed care.
Brian facilitates trainings and consultations for school districts, universities, behavioral health teams, and nonprofits nationwide—bringing both expertise and charisma to every conversation.

Emily is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over a decade of experience supporting individuals and systems navigating trauma, neurodiversity, and behavioral health challenges. She currently serves as a mental health specialist at a Colorado facility school, where she collaborates with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to meet the complex emotional needs of students with developmental differences.
With a background spanning community mental health, hospice care, early childhood, and special education, Emily brings a systems-oriented perspective to emotional well-being. She specializes in building sustainable support structures that reduce staff overwhelm, improve individual regulation, and foster student and educator connection and success.
Emily’s work is rooted in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and trauma-informed practice. She is passionate about equipping professionals with the mindset and tools to stay steady, connected, and empowered in demanding roles.
At Neurodiverse Communities, she leads curriculum design, resource development, and behind-the-scenes coordination for training delivery and implementation. Her work ensures that the tools professionals receive are not only clinically sound but also practical, adaptable, and easy to use in real-world settings.
